From first conversation to running software

Five steps. At each one you know what happens next, and what you come away with.

  1. Before any commitment

    A conversation

You tell us what is slowing the business down. We ask about the people who will use the software, the systems it has to talk to, and what it needs to be ready for.

You get a straight answer on whether custom software is the right fix, or whether something off the shelf would do.

  2. Before any work starts

    A written scope

What we will build, in plain English, split into stages you could stop after. Each stage has an estimate and a date.

You get a document you can hold us to.

  3. Every stage

    Working software, early

We build in short cycles and show you working software at the end of each one, not slides. You use it, tell us what is wrong, and we change it while that is still cheap.

You get a test site to try it on, from the first stage.

  4. Launch

Into the hands of the people using it

We move your existing data across, set up sign-in, and walk your team through it, on a day planned around your business with us on hand.

You get the code, the documentation, and the keys.

  5. After launch

    Kept running

Software needs updates, backups, and somebody to call. Hand it to your own team, or let us run it through Software Services.

You get support that responds within 8 business hours.

Ways to work together

A project

A defined piece of software with a scope, an estimate, and a finish line.

Best when you know what you need.

A development partner

Time each month for improving software you already have, on a list you set.

Best when the list of changes never really ends.

A rescue

Software somebody else built that has stalled or lost its developer. We review it and tell you whether to fix it or replace it.

Best when you are stuck with it.

What we build with

Mainstream, well-supported technology that plenty of developers know, so your software is never tied to us. Our own products, Secret Drop and File Drop, run on the same stack.

  • C# and .NET
  • ASP.NET Core
  • SQL Server
  • Microsoft Azure
  • JavaScript
  • REST APIs
  • Single sign-on
